  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

Congrats on making it through! i wish that I could sit across from you and chat now. Sadly, I'll have to settle for your name on the empty cube across from me. :-(

Enjoy the sunshine and the downtime!

Claire, it's National Pi Day!

Pi day.

Can we get an Ohio pie review?!!

I'd stop the world and melt with you :)

Besides, you always need a friend to help you chatter your way through a bottle of white wine. Although you seem to be fine just by yourself...

I'm glad the projects are done, even if it was PULLING TEETH to get them done. Sheesh.

Wish you were here to Goose my Maverick tonight. Boys, darts, and an Irish bar. Plenty of trouble to be had...

I'd stop the world and melt with you

That song was just finished playing on the radio as I clicked over here. Very odd.

Claire- we're melting as well! Woo-hoo! The sun is out, it's nearing 60. I see a light at the end of winter's tunnel.

I missed you on Wednesday night. While I appreciated the free time, it did seem like something was missing.

I just noticed the time of Natasha's post. I wonder if she was also listening to WXRT...

Nice pics! Congrats on getting all your assignments in!
